Shipping & Delivery
At EdgeVend, we focus on keeping your spindle turning – not your team chasing parcels. Below you’ll find all key information about how we ship tooling orders across Europe.
1. Shipping Regions
We currently ship to professional customers in the European Union (EU27). Shipments outside the EU are not available at this time.
EdgeVend is a B2B marketplace for precision cutting tools. We only ship to business customers with a valid company address.
2. Shipping Methods & Logistics Partners
- Parcel services (standard and express) for most solid carbide tools, inserts, holders and small accessories
- Freight / pallet shipments for heavier items, larger quantities or sensitive tooling packages
- Shipped directly from the manufacturer’s German warehouse
You will always receive a shipment confirmation including tracking information as soon as your order leaves the warehouse.
3. Shipping Costs
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the following standard rates apply:
3.1 EU27 – Parcel Shipments
- EU Standard: 9,90 €
- EU Express: 29,90 €
3.2 Freight / Pallet Shipments
For heavy goods, large quantities or special packaging requirements, we may ship via freight carrier. In that case:
- Freight costs are calculated individually based on weight, volume, destination and service level.
- You will see either: a quoted freight price during checkout, or a separate freight quote for your approval before dispatch.
4. Delivery Times
Lead times depend on stock availability, manufacturer location and destination country.
4.1 Typical Transit Times (Standard Parcel)
- Domestic shipments (within same country as warehouse): approx. 1–2 working days
- EU cross-border shipments: approx. 2–5 working days
4.2 Availability & Production Lead Times
On the product page, we indicate whether an item is:
- In stock – available from warehouse / manufacturer stock
- Made to order – manufactured after order entry
- Backordered – currently not available, next availability date on request
The lead times shown online are non-binding indications. The binding delivery time is the one confirmed in our Order Confirmation and is subject to our General Terms & Conditions.
5. Multi-Supplier Orders & Partial Deliveries
EdgeVend is a multi-brand marketplace. Your order may include items from different manufacturers and warehouses. To keep your machines running, we may:
- Split your order into multiple shipments (partial deliveries), and
- Ship directly from different warehouses or manufacturers.
This means:
- You may receive separate parcels on different days, even though you placed one order.
- We do not charge additional shipping fees for these partial deliveries, as long as they belong to the same original order.
6. Incoterms & Transfer of Risk
Unless explicitly stated otherwise in the order confirmation:
- Parcel shipments within the EU are typically handled on terms comparable to Incoterms® 2020 DAP (Delivered at Place).
- The transfer of risk to the customer takes place according to our General Terms & Conditions (GTC), usually when the goods are handed over to the first carrier.
For specific projects or framework agreements, we may agree on alternative Incoterms (e.g. EXW, FCA). These will be documented explicitly in our offer and order confirmation.
7. Customs, Duties & VAT
7.1 EU-Internal B2B Shipments
For shipments within the EU27:
- No customs duties apply inside the customs union.
- VAT handling depends on your VAT ID and the country of delivery. Please enter a valid VAT number during checkout to ensure correct tax handling.
7.2 Shipments Outside the EU
Shipments to countries outside the EU customs union (e.g. CH, UK, NO) are not available at this time.
8. Damaged Shipments & Transport Claims
We pack cutting tools and precision components carefully. Should something still go wrong in transit, please follow these steps:

Check the package at delivery
If damage is visible, ask the driver to record it and note the damage on the delivery receipt. -
Document the damage
Take clear photos of: outer packaging, inner packaging, damaged items. -
Notify EdgeVend promptly
Contact our support team within 5 working days after delivery. Include order number, delivery note, photos and a brief description.
We will coordinate the claim with the carrier and, where applicable, arrange replacement delivery or credit in line with our GTC.
9. Delays, Force Majeure & Availability
Despite stable supply chains, delays can occur due to:
- carrier disruptions, strikes or capacity bottlenecks
- force majeure events (e.g. natural disasters, geopolitical events)
In such cases:
- We will inform you proactively if we become aware of significant delays.
- Our obligations and liability are governed by our General Terms & Conditions and any individual agreements with you.
10. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do you ship to my country?
We ship to all EU27 countries. If your country is not available at checkout, please contact us.
Can I use my own carrier account?
In selected cases and for framework agreements, we may ship on your own carrier account. Please contact us before placing your order.
Can I combine multiple orders into one shipment?
If orders are placed within a short time window and not yet processed, we will try to consolidate them. We cannot guarantee consolidation, as we work with multiple warehouses and suppliers.
How are shipping costs shown in checkout?
Standard parcel shipping costs are displayed directly in the checkout process. Freight shipments may be shown as a separate quote if required.
Do you offer express shipping?
Express delivery may be available depending on product, stock and destination. If you have an urgent requirement, please contact us – we will check the options with our partners.
